Students have been given a study guide for the Midterm. The midterm will be administered on October 20th.

Hopefully, you feel over-prepared for our test on Friday, 9/1. If not please see the resources below that may help you further.
First, you will see two images of information that were created by students today as we conducted a "study hall" while reading through the test.
Then you will see some helpful brain Mnemonics. Be sure to continue to scroll to the bottom so that you can see two PowerPoints that I have posted as well.
Then you will see the video about Phineas Gage that will help you remember important information about the brain.
Greetings Spartans & welcome to brain week!
We will spend the week getting ready for our test that will be administered on Thursday PRIOR to lunch. The test will be passed out as soon as the bell rings and must be completed by the time lunch starts.
In preparation of the test, please make sure that you have completed the following reading: 72-77 72-77 due Monday, 82-86 due Tuesday, 87-92 due Wednesday.
Be prepared for a reading assessment each day and we will spend the rest of class completing activities with the knowledge we gain from reading.
Don't forget: All notes must be Cornell style, EACH page should have a summary and several questions, date the beginning of each set of notes and place an objective at the beginning as well.
As promised, the research notes are below. Please familiarize yourself with ALL of them. Text me with any questions or clarification needed.
This week, we will begin our flipped classroom model. This means that students will be required to complete readings and notes outside of the classroom. During class, we will be able to participate in more meaningful assignments. Below is the reading schedule for this week.
Monday evening: pg. 19-24
Tuesday evening: pg. 30-34
Wednesday evening: pg. 39-44
We will take a test covering History, Perspectives & Research on Friday.
We are continuing our online, in-depth research on the major perspectives of Psychology. Since we will need this information for the rest of the semester, an additional day will be spent on the major perspectives project.
It will be due at the BEGINNING of class on Friday.
We will have a Quiz on the 8 perspectives, major historical figures and cognitive vocabulary on Monday, August 14th.
ALL notebooks will be turned in prior to the test and ALL notes and previous assignments should be in the notebook and in Cornell style.
